When Jim Brey signed up for a National Science Foundation (NSF)-sponsored undergraduate faculty enhancement workshop in the atmospheric sciences in the summer of 1995, little did he know that this event would ultimately lead to his appointment as director of the AMS Education Program. From that time, Jim has been active in the program's K-12 teacher enhancement efforts, including serving on local implementation teams for DataStreme Atmosphere and DataStreme Water in the Earth System in his home state of Wisconsin.
